How to use the random number generator
- Type the lowest and highest numbers you want. Both are included: 1 to 10 can give 1 or 10.
- Choose how many numbers you want, and whether repeats are allowed.
- Press Generate or the Space bar. Press C to copy the result.
The quick picks set up common ranges in one tap: 1–10, 1–100, 1–1000, a six-sided die, and 6 numbers from 1 to 49 without repeats.
How the numbers are made
Each number comes from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator. KeenWheel uses rejection sampling, which throws away the rare raw values that would make some numbers slightly more likely than others, so every number in your range has exactly the same chance. Ranges can be as wide as ±1,000,000,000,000,000.
With No repeats, the numbers are drawn like balls from a bag: each one can come up only once. You can ask for up to 10,000 numbers at a time.
Common uses
- Raffle tickets: generate a winning ticket number between the first and last ticket sold.
- Lottery-style picks: 6 numbers from 1 to 49, no repeats, sorted.
- Classrooms: pick a student by their number on the register, or a page and question at random.
- Sampling: choose which rows of a list to check, without repeats.
- Games: when the dice are missing, 1 to 6 does the job. The dice roller shows real dice.

Questions and answers
Is this random number generator truly random?
It uses the cryptographic random number generator built into your browser, which is designed to be unpredictable, and an unbiased method to fit numbers into your range. That is far stronger than the generators used in most games.
Are the lowest and highest numbers included?
Yes. A range of 1 to 100 can give 1, 100 or anything in between, each with the same chance.
How do I get numbers without repeats?
Tick No repeats. You cannot ask for more numbers than the range holds; for 1 to 10, that is at most 10.
Can I use negative numbers or very large ranges?
Yes. Any whole numbers from −1,000,000,000,000,000 to 1,000,000,000,000,000 work.
Can I generate a list of numbers?
Yes, up to 10,000 at once. Tick Sort from low to high if you want them in order, and copy them with the copy button or the C key.
Can I use it for an official lottery or prize draw?
It is fair for everyday use, but regulated draws often require a certified generator or an independent supervisor. Check the rules that apply to you.
