Decision wheels

Small, everyday choices settled in one spin. Use them when every option is fine and the real problem is that nobody wants to choose.

When to let a wheel decide

A wheel is good at breaking ties between options you would all accept: which film, who starts, which route home. Before spinning, remove anything you would refuse to do, and agree that the result stands. If you feel let down when it lands, that helps too: it tells you which option you were hoping for.

Keep big, personal or money decisions for proper thinking. For who pays or who does a chore, spin in front of everyone so nobody can argue about it later.

Questions and answers

Is a decision wheel really random?

Yes. Each spin uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator, and every entry has the same chance unless you add a weight like “Option *2”.

How is this different from the yes or no wheel?

The yes or no wheel answers a single question. These wheels choose between named options, people or numbers, and you can edit every list.
