Capital city quiz wheel
Each slice is a capital city. Spin it, then name the country it belongs to. The answer key is under the wheel, so the quizmaster never has to check a phone.

How to run the quiz
- Split into teams of two to four. Turn on Remove the winner after each spin so no capital comes up twice.
- Spin. The team whose turn it is has 15 seconds to name the country. A correct answer scores 1 point; if they miss, the next team can steal for 1 point.
- For a bonus point, name the continent too, or one other city in the same country.
- Play 10 spins per team. The Results tab keeps the full list of capitals that came up, so you can go back over the misses at the end.

Play it the other way round
To ask for the capital instead, clear the box and type countries, or use labels like “Kenya: ?” and keep this answer key handy. The 54 capitals here were chosen because each has one clear answer. Some well-known countries were left out on purpose: South Africa has three capital cities (Pretoria, Cape Town and Bloemfontein), Bolivia splits its capital between Sucre and La Paz, and the Netherlands has Amsterdam as its capital while the government sits in The Hague. Those make good bonus questions once players know the basics.
Questions and answers
Which capitals catch people out most?
Canberra (not Sydney), Ottawa (not Toronto), Ankara (not Istanbul), Brasília (not Rio de Janeiro), Abuja (not Lagos) and Dodoma (not Dar es Salaam) are the classic traps, and all six are on the wheel.
Is this good for kids?
For ages 9 and up, yes. For younger children, cut the list to 10 or 15 famous capitals such as London, Paris, Tokyo and Washington, D.C., and play with a world map on the table.
Where can I spin countries instead?
The country wheel has 100 countries from every continent, and the European country wheel is complete for Europe.
