    Four quick recipes

    • Virgin mojito: muddle 8–10 mint leaves with the juice of half a lime and 2 teaspoons of sugar in a tall glass. Fill with ice and top with soda water.
    • Shirley Temple: ginger ale or lemon-lime soda over ice with a splash of grenadine, and a cherry on top.
    • Watermelon agua fresca: blend 4 cups of watermelon with 1 cup of cold water and the juice of a lime, strain, sweeten to taste and serve over ice.
    • Cucumber cooler: a few cucumber slices and a squeeze of lime in sparkling water, with a little simple syrup if you like it sweet.

    1. Trim the wheel to five or six drinks you have the ingredients for. Set the rest to “*0” rather than deleting them.
    2. Lay out ice, two juices, two sodas, mint, lime wedges and fruit for garnish.
    3. Each guest spins and an older child or adult makes the drink. Kids from about seven can measure and stir.
    4. Turn on Full screen (F) on a laptop at the drinks table so the wheel is easy to see.

    Make it yours

Add your family’s favorite punch, a seasonal drink like hot apple cider, or a cultural classic like sorrel, jamaica or ayran. For a small gathering, a wheel of base drinks (lemonade, iced tea, soda water) and a second wheel of flavors (berry, ginger, mint, peach) gives dozens of combinations from a short shopping list.

    Questions and answers

    Are all of these alcohol-free?

Yes. “Virgin” on a drink name means the alcohol-free version. Every drink on this wheel is made with juice, soda, tea, milk or fruit only.

Which ones are best for young kids?

Shirley Temple, strawberry lemonade, sparkling apple punch, the floats and the agua fresca are the most popular with children. Hibiscus tea and iced tea contain no alcohol, but iced tea has caffeine, so use a caffeine-free tea for little ones.

Can I use it for a baby shower or birthday?

Yes. Rename the drinks to fit the theme, save the wheel in My wheels, and put it on full screen next to the drinks.
