A template for your own list of places. The 16 examples are there to show the idea: replace them with the restaurants in your neighborhood and save the wheel.

    Set up your restaurant list

    1. Click into the box next to the wheel and clear it.
    2. Type the places you actually go, one per line, by the name you use for them (“Rosa’s”, “The pho place on 5th”).
    3. Keep a slice called Somewhere new. When it lands, try a place none of you has been to.
    4. Save it in My wheels as “Eating out”. Make a second wheel for lunch spots near work if you need one.

Group rules that keep the peace

    • Everyone adds two: each person types two places, so nobody feels the list was stacked.
    • One veto each: agree before the spin. A vetoed result means spin again, and that person’s veto is gone.
    • Closed today: give a place “*0” rather than deleting it, and set it back tomorrow.
    • Favorites: a place everyone loves can go in as “Rosa’s *2”. Do it in the open, not quietly.

Date nights, families and office lunches

Couples often save two lists: cheap and cheerful for a weeknight, and special for an occasion. Families can let a different child spin each week. For a team lunch, send the wheel’s Share link to the chat so everyone sees the same list, then spin on the meeting room screen.

Once you know where, the who pays wheel can settle the next argument.

    Questions and answers

Does the wheel know restaurants near me?

No. It has no location and does not look anything up. You type the places, which means the list is exactly the places you like, and nothing about where you are is shared.

    Is the pick really random?

Yes. Each slice has an equal chance unless you add a weight, and the result comes from your browser’s cryptographic random generator, so nobody can steer it toward their favorite.

How do I share the wheel with friends?

Press Share link. It copies a link that contains your list, so anyone who opens it sees the same restaurants and can spin too.
